1 Samuel 1:3

3Every year this man would go from his own city to worship and sacrifice to the LORD OF ARMIES at Shiloh. Eli's two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, served there as priests of the LORD.

1 Samuel 1:11

 11She made this vow, "LORD OF ARMIES, if you will look at my misery, remember me, and give me a boy, then I will give him to you for as long as he lives. A razor will never be used on his head."

1 Samuel 4:4

 27The LORD OF ARMIES has planned it. Who can stop it? He is ready to use his power. Who can turn it back?

 3Fortified cities will disappear from Ephraim, and the kingdom will disappear from Damascus. The remaining few from Aram will share Israel's honor," declares the LORD OF ARMIES.

 7At that time gifts will be brought to the LORD OF ARMIES from a tall and smooth-skinned people, a people who are feared far and near, a strong and aggressive nation, whose land is divided by rivers. They will be brought to Mount Zion, the place where the name of the LORD OF ARMIES is.

 4I will hand over the Egyptians to a harsh master. A strong king will rule them," declares the Almighty LORD OF ARMIES.

 12Where are your wise men now? Let them tell you. Let them explain what the LORD OF ARMIES is planning against Egypt.

Isaiah 19:16-18

 16At that time Egyptians will act like women. They will tremble and be terrified because the LORD OF ARMIES will shake his fist at them.  17The land of Judah will terrify the Egyptians. Whenever they are reminded of Judah, they will be terrified of it because of what the LORD OF ARMIES is planning against it.

 18When that day comes, five cities in Egypt will have people that speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the LORD OF ARMIES. One of the cities will be called Heliopolis.

Isaiah 19:20

 20These objects will be a sign and a witness that the LORD OF ARMIES is in Egypt. When the people cry to the LORD because of those who oppress them, he will send a savior and defender to rescue them.

Isaiah 19:25

 25The LORD OF ARMIES will bless them, saying, "My people Egypt, the work of my hands Assyria, and my possession Israel are blessed."

Isaiah 21:10

 10You, my people, have been threshed and winnowed. I make known to you what I heard from the LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel.

Isaiah 22:5

 5The Almighty LORD OF ARMIES has chosen a special day. It will be a day of confusion and trampling in the valley of Vision, a day of tearing down walls and crying for help in the mountains.

 12On that day the Almighty LORD OF ARMIES will call for crying and for mourning, for shaving your heads and for wearing sackcloth.

 14The LORD OF ARMIES revealed this to me: "Certainly, this wrong will not be forgiven even when you die," says the Almighty LORD OF ARMIES.

 15This is what the Almighty LORD OF ARMIES says: Go to Shebna, the man in charge of the palace, and say to him,

Isaiah 22:25

 25The LORD OF ARMIES declares, "On that day the peg which I firmly fastened in place will be removed. It will be cut off and will fall, and everything hanging on it will be destroyed." The LORD has spoken.

Isaiah 23:9

 9The LORD OF ARMIES planned this in order to dishonor all arrogant people and to humiliate all the honored people of the world.

 4This is what the LORD said to me: A lion, even a young lion, growls over its prey when a crowd of shepherds is called to fight it. It isn't frightened by their voices or disturbed by the noise they make. So the LORD OF ARMIES will come to fight for Mount Zion and its hill.  5The LORD OF ARMIES will defend Jerusalem like a hovering bird. He will defend it and rescue it. He will pass over it and protect it.

Isaiah 37:16

 16"LORD OF ARMIES, God of Israel, you are enthroned over the angels. You alone are God of the kingdoms of the world. You made heaven and earth.

Isaiah 37:32

 32Those few people will go out from Jerusalem, and those who escape will go out from Mount Zion. The LORD OF ARMIES is determined to do this.'

Isaiah 37:34

 34He will go back the way he came, and he won't come into this city," declares the LORD OF ARMIES.

 5Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD OF ARMIES!

Isaiah 44:6

 6The LORD is Israel's king and defender. He is the LORD OF ARMIES. This is what the LORD says: I am the first and the last, and there is no God except me.

 9This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Thoroughly pick through the faithful few of Israel like someone picks through a grapevine. Like someone picking grapes, pass your hand over its branches again.

 3This is what the LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel, says: Change the way you live and act, and I will let you live in this place.

 21"This is what the LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel, says: Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the meat.

 27The LORD said, "Say to them, 'This is what the LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk, vomit, fall down, and don't get up because of the wars that I'm going to send you.'  28But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink from it, say to them, 'This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: You must drink from it!  29I am going to bring disaster on the city that is named after me. Do you think you'll go unpunished? You will not go unpunished! I'm declaring war on all those who live on earth, declares the LORD OF ARMIES.'

Jeremiah 25:32

 32"This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Disaster is spreading from nation to nation. A great storm is brewing from the distant corners of the earth."

Jeremiah 26:18

 18"Micah from Moresheth prophesied at the time of Judah's King Hezekiah and said to all the people of Judah, 'This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a pile of rubble, and the temple mountain will become a worship site covered with trees.'

Jeremiah 27:4

 4Give them an order for their masters: "This is what the LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel, says: Say this to your masters,

Jeremiah 27:18

 18If they are prophets and the LORD is speaking to them, they should beg the LORD OF ARMIES not to allow the utensils that are left in the LORD's temple, in the royal palace of Judah, and in Jerusalem to be taken away to Babylon.

Jeremiah 46:10

 10That day belongs to the Almighty LORD OF ARMIES. It is a day of vengeance when he will take revenge on his enemies. Jeremiah 46:25

 25The LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel, says, "I'm going to punish Amon, who is the god of Thebes. I will also punish Pharaoh, Egypt, its gods, its kings, and whoever trusts Pharaoh.

Jeremiah 48:1

 1This is what the LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel, says about Moab: How horrible it will be for Nebo; it will be destroyed. Kiriathaim will be put to shame; it will be captured. Its stronghold will be put to shame and torn down.

Jeremiah 48:15

 15The enemy will attack Moab and destroy its cities. Its finest young men will be slaughtered," declares the king, whose name is the LORD OF ARMIES.

Jeremiah 49:5

 5I am going to bring terror on you from all around, declares the Almighty LORD OF ARMIES. Everyone will be scattered. No one will gather the refugees.

Jeremiah 49:7

 7This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says about Edom: Is there no longer any wisdom in Teman? Has wisdom disappeared from your people? Has their wisdom vanished?

Jeremiah 49:26

 26That is why its young men will die in the streets, and its soldiers will be silenced that day," declares the LORD OF ARMIES.

Jeremiah 49:35

 35This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: I'm going to break the bows of Elam's archers, the most important weapon of their strength.

Jeremiah 50:18

 18"This is what the LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel, says: I am going to punish the king of Babylon and his land as I punished the king of Assyria.

Jeremiah 50:25

 25The LORD will open his armory and bring out the weapons of his fury, because the Almighty LORD OF ARMIES has a job to do in the land of the Babylonians.

Jeremiah 50:31

 31"I'm against you, you arrogant city," declares the Almighty LORD OF ARMIES. "Your day has come, the time when I will punish you.

Jeremiah 50:33-34

 33This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: All the people of Israel and Judah are oppressed. All their enemies have captured them. They refuse to let them go.  34Their defender is strong. His name is the LORD OF ARMIES. He will certainly take up their cause in order to bring rest to the land of Israel and unrest to the people who live in Babylon.

Jeremiah 51:5

 5Israel and Judah haven't been abandoned by their God, the LORD OF ARMIES, although their land is guilty of abandoning the Holy One of Israel.

Jeremiah 51:14

 14The LORD OF ARMIES has taken an oath on himself: "I will certainly fill you with many enemy armies. They will swarm like locusts. People will shout their victory over you."

Jeremiah 51:19

 19Jacob's God isn't like them. He made everything, and Israel is the tribe that belongs to him. His name is the LORD OF ARMIES.

Jeremiah 51:33

 33This is what the LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel, says: The people of Babylon are like a threshing floor at the time it is trampled. Their harvest time will come soon.

Jeremiah 51:57-58

 57I will make their officials and wise men drunk, along with their governors, officers, and soldiers. They will fall into a deep sleep and never wake up," declares the king, whose name is the LORD OF ARMIES.  58This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: The thick walls of Babylon will be leveled, and its high gates will be set on fire. People exhaust themselves for nothing. The nations wear themselves out only to have a fire.

Amos 9:5

 5The Almighty LORD OF ARMIES touches the earth. It quakes, and all who live on it mourn. All of it rises like the Nile and sinks like Egypt's river.

Micah 4:4

 4They will sit under their grapevines and their fig trees, and no one will make them afraid. The LORD OF ARMIES has spoken.

Nahum 2:13

 13"I am against you, Nineveh," declares the LORD OF ARMIES. "I will send your chariots up in smoke, and a sword will kill your young lions. I will remove your prey from the earth, and no one will ever hear the voice of your messengers again."

Nahum 3:5

 5"I am against you, Nineveh," declares the LORD OF ARMIES. "I will lift up your dress over your face. I will show nations your naked body and kingdoms your disgrace.

Habakuk 2:13

 13Isn't it from the LORD OF ARMIES that people grow tired only to feed the flames and nations exhaust themselves for nothing?

Zephaniah 2:9-10

 9Therefore, I solemnly swear, as I live," declares the LORD OF ARMIES, the God of Israel, "Moab will become like Sodom, and Ammon will become like Gomorrah: a place of weeds, salt pits, and ruins forever. The faithful few of my people will loot them, and those who are left in my nation will take possession of them."  10This is what they will get for their sinful pride, because they insulted the people who belong to the LORD OF ARMIES and made themselves greater than them.

Haggai 1:2

 2"This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: These people say it's not the right time to rebuild the house of the LORD."

 5Now, this is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Carefully consider your ways!

Haggai 1:9

 9"You expected a lot, but you received a little. When you bring something home, I blow it away. Why?" declares the LORD OF ARMIES. "It's because my house lies in ruins while each of you is busy working on your own house.

Haggai 1:14

 14The LORD inspired them to rebuild his house. So Zerubbabel (who was the son of Shealtiel and was governor of Judah), the chief priest Joshua (who was the son of Jehozadak), and the faithful few who returned from Babylon began working on the house of the LORD OF ARMIES, their God.

Haggai 2:4

 4"But now, Zerubbabel, be strong," declares the LORD. "Chief Priest Joshua (son of Jehozadak), be strong. Everyone in the land, be strong," declares the LORD. "Work, because I am with you," declares the LORD OF ARMIES.

Haggai 2:6-9

 6"This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Once again, in a little while, I am going to shake the sky and the earth, the sea and the dry land.  7I will shake all the nations, and the one whom all the nations desire will come. Then I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD OF ARMIES.  8The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the LORD OF ARMIES.  9This new house will be more glorious than the former, declares the LORD OF ARMIES. And in this place I will give them peace, declares the LORD OF ARMIES."

Haggai 2:11

 11"This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Ask the priests for a decision.

Haggai 2:23

 23On that day, declares the LORD OF ARMIES, I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel (son of Shealtiel), declares the LORD. I will make you like a signet ring, because I have chosen you, declares the LORD OF ARMIES.'"

Zechariah 1:3-4

 3Tell the people, 'This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Return to me, declares the LORD OF ARMIES, and I will return to you, says the LORD OF ARMIES.'  4Don't be like your ancestors, who heard the earlier prophets preach to them, 'This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Turn from your evil ways and your evil deeds.' But they didn't listen or pay attention to me, declares the LORD.

Zechariah 1:6

 6Didn't my warnings and my laws, which I've commanded my servants the prophets to preach, finally catch up with your ancestors? Then your ancestors turned away from their sins and said, 'The LORD OF ARMIES has done to us what he had planned to do. He has dealt with us as our ways and deeds deserve.'"

Zechariah 1:12

 12Then the Messenger of the LORD said, "LORD OF ARMIES, how much longer until you show compassion to Jerusalem and the cities of Judah? You've been angry with them for 70 years."

Zechariah 1:14

 14The angel who was speaking with me said, "Announce: This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: I'm very jealous about Jerusalem and Zion,

Zechariah 1:16-17

 16This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: I have returned to Jerusalem with compassion. My house will be rebuilt in it, declares the LORD OF ARMIES. A measuring line will be used to rebuild Jerusalem.  17"Announce again: This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: My cities will overflow with prosperity once more. The LORD will again comfort Zion and will again choose Jerusalem."

Zechariah 2:8-9

 8This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Afterwards, the Glory sent me to the nations who looted you. Whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye.  9I'm going to shake my fist at the nations, and their own slaves will loot them. Then you will know that the LORD OF ARMIES has sent me.

Zechariah 2:11

 11On that day many nations will join the LORD and become my people. I will live among you. Then you will know that the LORD OF ARMIES has sent me to you.

Zechariah 3:7

 7"This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: If you live according to my ways and follow my requirements, you will govern my temple and watch over my courtyards. Then I will give you free access to walk among those standing here.

Zechariah 3:9-10

 9"Look at the stone I have set in front of Joshua. That one stone has seven eyes. I am engraving an inscription on it," declares the LORD OF ARMIES. "I will remove this land's sin in a single day.  10On that day," declares the LORD OF ARMIES, "each of you will invite your neighbor to sit under your vine and fig tree."

Zechariah 4:6

 6Then he replied, "This is the word the LORD spoke to Zerubbabel: You won't succeed by might or by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD OF ARMIES.

Zechariah 4:9

 9"Zerubbabel's hands have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it. Then you will know that the LORD OF ARMIES has sent me to you.

Zechariah 5:4

 4I will send out a curse, declares the LORD OF ARMIES, and it will enter the houses of thieves and the houses of those who take oaths in my name. It will stay in their houses and destroy the timber and stone."

Zechariah 6:12

 12Then say to him, 'This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Here is the man whose name is Branch. He will branch out from where he is, and he will rebuild the LORD's temple.

Zechariah 6:15

 15Those who are far away will come and rebuild the LORD's temple. Then you will know the LORD OF ARMIES has sent me to you. This will happen if you obey the LORD your God completely.'"

Zechariah 7:3-4

 3They asked the priests from the house of the LORD OF ARMIES as well as the prophets, "Should we mourn and fast in the fifth month as we have done for so many years?"  4Then the LORD OF ARMIES spoke his word to me. He said,

9"This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Administer real justice, and be compassionate and kind to each other.

Zechariah 7:12-13

 12They made their hearts as hard as flint so that they couldn't hear the LORD's teachings, the words that the LORD OF ARMIES had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the LORD OF ARMIES became very angry.  13"When I called, they wouldn't listen. So now when they call, I won't listen, says the LORD OF ARMIES.

Zechariah 8:1-4

 1The LORD OF ARMIES spoke his word.  2This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: I am very jealous about Zion. I am fiercely possessive of it.  3This is what the LORD says: I will return to Zion and live in Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth. The mountain of the LORD OF ARMIES will be called the holy mountain.  4This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Old men and old women will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem. Each will have a cane in hand because of old age.

Zechariah 8:6-7

 6This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: It may seem impossible to the few remaining people in those days, but will it seem impossible to me? declares the LORD OF ARMIES.  7This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: I am going to save my people from the land where the sun rises and from the land where the sun sets.

Zechariah 8:9

 9This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: Be strong so that the temple might be rebuilt, you people who are presently listening to the words from the mouths of the prophets who spoke when the foundation for the house of the LORD OF ARMIES was laid.

Zechariah 8:11

 11But now I won't deal with the few remaining people as I did in earlier times, declares the LORD OF ARMIES.

Zechariah 8:14

 14This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: When your ancestors made me angry, I made plans to destroy you, declares the LORD OF ARMIES, and I didn't change my plans.

Zechariah 8:18-23

 18The LORD OF ARMIES spoke his word to me again.  19This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: The fast in the fourth month, the fast in the fifth month, the fast in the seventh month, and the fast in the tenth month will become joyful and glad occasions as well as happy festivals for the nation of Judah. So love truth and peace.  20This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: People and citizens from many cities are going to come.  21The citizens of one city will come to another city, saying, "Let's make a habit of going to ask the LORD for a blessing and to seek the LORD OF ARMIES. I'm also going."  22Many people and powerful nations will come to seek the LORD OF ARMIES in Jerusalem and to ask the LORD for a blessing.  23This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: In those days ten people from every language found among the nations will take hold of the clothes of a Jew. They will say, "Let us go with you because we have heard that God is with you."

Zechariah 9:15

 15The LORD OF ARMIES will defend them. They will destroy and trample the stones used in slings. They will drink and shout as if they were drunk. They will be filled like a sacrificial bowl used for sprinkling the corners of the altar.

Zechariah 10:3

 3"My burning anger is directed against the shepherds. I will punish the male goats. The LORD OF ARMIES takes care of his flock, the people of Judah. He makes them like his splendid war horse."

Zechariah 12:5

 5Then the leaders of Judah will think to themselves, 'The people who live in Jerusalem are strong because of the LORD OF ARMIES, their God.'

Zechariah 13:2

 2"On that day," declares the LORD OF ARMIES, "I will wipe away the names of the idols from the land. They will no longer be remembered. I will also remove the false prophets and the unclean spirit from the land.

Zechariah 13:7

 7"Arise, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is my friend," declares the LORD OF ARMIES. "Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered. Then I will turn my hand against the little ones."

Zechariah 14:16-17

 16Everyone who is left from all the nations that attacked Jerusalem will come every year to worship the king, the LORD OF ARMIES, and to celebrate the Festival of Booths.  17If any of the families on the earth won't go to Jerusalem to worship the king, the LORD OF ARMIES, then rain won't fall on them.

Zechariah 14:21

 21Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the LORD OF ARMIES. All who come to sacrifice will take some of them and cook in them. On that day there will no longer be any Canaanite in the house of the LORD OF ARMIES.

Malachi 1:4

 4"The descendants of Esau may say, 'We have been beaten down, but we will rebuild the ruins.' "Yet, this is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: They may rebuild, but I will tear it down. They will be called 'the Wicked Land' and 'the people with whom the LORD is always angry.'

Malachi 1:6

 6"This is what the LORD OF ARMIES says: A son honors his father, and a servant honors his master. So if I am a father, where is my honor? If I am a master, where is my respect? You priests despise my name. "But you ask, 'How have we despised your name?'

Malachi 1:8-11

 8When you bring a blind animal to sacrifice, isn't that wrong? When you bring a lame or a sick animal, isn't that wrong? Try offering it to your governor. Would he accept it from you? Would he welcome you?" asks the LORD OF ARMIES.  9"Now try asking God to be kind to you. This is what you are doing! Will he welcome you?" asks the LORD OF ARMIES.  10"I wish one of you would shut the doors to my house so that you could not light fires on my altar for no reason. I'm not pleased with you," says the LORD OF ARMIES, "and I won't accept your offerings.  11"From the nations where the sun rises to the nations where the sun sets, my name will be great. Incense and pure offerings will be offered everywhere in my name, because my name will be great among the nations," says the LORD OF ARMIES.

Malachi 1:13-14

 13"You say, 'Oh what a nuisance it is,' and you sniff at it in disgust," says the LORD OF ARMIES. "You bring stolen, lame, and sick animals. When you bring such offerings, should I accept them from you?" asks the LORD.  14"Cheaters are under a curse. They have male animals in their flocks that they vow to give as a sacrifice. But they sacrifice second-rate ones to the Lord instead. I am a great king," says the LORD OF ARMIES. "Among the nations my name is respected.

Malachi 2:2

 2If you won't listen and if you won't consider giving honor to my name," says the LORD OF ARMIES, "then I'll send a curse on you, and I'll curse the blessings you give. Yes, I've already cursed them because you don't carefully consider this.

Malachi 2:4

 4Then you will know that I sent you this warning so that my promise to Levi will continue," says the LORD OF ARMIES.

Malachi 2:7-8

 7"A priest's lips should preserve knowledge. Then, because he is the messenger for the LORD OF ARMIES, people will seek instruction from his mouth.  8"But you have turned from the correct path and caused many to stumble over my teachings. You have corrupted the promise made to Levi," says the LORD OF ARMIES.

Malachi 2:12

 12May the LORD exclude anyone who does this, whoever he may be. May he exclude them from Jacob's tents and from bringing offerings to the LORD OF ARMIES.

Malachi 2:16

 16"I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel. "I hate the person who covers himself with violence," says the LORD OF ARMIES. "Be careful not to be unfaithful."

Malachi 3:1

 1"I'm going to send my messenger, and he will clear the way ahead of me. Then the Lord you are looking for will suddenly come to his temple. The messenger of the promise will come. He is the one you want," says the LORD OF ARMIES.

Malachi 3:5

 5"I will come to judge you. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers, lying witnesses, and those who cheat workers out of their wages and oppress widows and orphans. I will also testify against those who deprive foreigners of their rights. None of them fear me," says the LORD OF ARMIES.

Malachi 3:7

 7Since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my laws and have not followed them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD OF ARMIES. "But you ask, 'How can we return?'

Malachi 3:10-12

 10"Bring one-tenth of your income into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house. Test me in this way," says the LORD OF ARMIES. "See if I won't open the windows of heaven for you and flood you with blessings.  11Then, for your sake, I will stop insects from eating your crops. They will not destroy the produce of your land. The vines in your fields will not lose their unripened grapes," says the LORD OF ARMIES.  12"All nations will call you blessed because you will be a delightful land," says the LORD OF ARMIES.

Malachi 3:17

 17"They will be mine," says the LORD OF ARMIES. "On that day I will make them my special possession. I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.

Malachi 4:1

 1"Certainly the day is coming! It will burn like a furnace. All arrogant people and all evildoers will be like straw. The day that is coming will burn them up completely," says the LORD OF ARMIES. "It won't leave a single root or branch.

Malachi 4:3

 3You will trample on wicked people, because on the day I act they will be ashes under the soles of your feet," says the LORD OF ARMIES.

Romans 9:29

 29This is what Isaiah predicted: "If the LORD OF ARMIES hadn't left us some descendants, we would have been like Sodom and Gomorrah."

James 5:4

 4The wages you refused to pay the people who harvested your fields shout to God against you. The LORD OF ARMIES has heard the cries of those who gather the crops.

 6The LORD is Israel's king and defender. He is the LORD of Armies. This is what the LORD says: I am the first and the last, and there is no God except me.
