IMPORTANCE OF BEING RIGHTEOUS
RIGHTEOUS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS
(WORD FROM FATHER FRIDAY 5 SEPT 2014: YOU ARE A KING, READ WHAT YOU READ AS A KING, AND NOT BECOMING A KING. BE A RIGHTEOUS AND HONEST KING. AND 8 SEPT 2014: THE TASK I GAVE TO YOU TO LEAD MY PEOPLE HOME AND RESTORE MY NAME, IT IS HOLY TASK) BE HOLY BECAUSE I AM HOLY!
24You were also taught to become a new person created to be like God, truly RIGHTEOUS and holy.
19Brothers and sisters, because of the BLOOD of Jesus we can now confidently go into the holy place.
1 Peter 1:2
2God the Father knew you long ago and chose you to live holy lives with the Spirit's help so that you are obedient to Jesus Christ and are sprinkled with his BLOOD. May good will and peace fill your lives!
6And he believed in YHVH; and he counted it to him for RIGHTEOUSNESS.
33So shall my RIGHTEOUSNESS answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.
15Ye shall do no unRIGHTEOUSNESS in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in RIGHTEOUSNESS shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
16And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge RIGHTEOUSly between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.
25And it shall be our RIGHTEOUSNESS, if we observe to do all these commandments before YHVH our Elohim, as he hath commanded us.
4Speak not thou in thine heart, after that YHVH thy Elohim hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my RIGHTEOUSNESS YHVH hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations YHVH doth drive them out from before thee. 5Not for thy RIGHTEOUSNESS, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations YHVH thy Elohim doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which YHVH sware unto thy fathers, ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB. 6Understand therefore, that YHVH thy Elohim giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy RIGHTEOUSNESS; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
13In any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be RIGHTEOUSNESS unto thee before YHVH thy Elohim.
19They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of RIGHTEOUSNESS: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
1 Samuel 26:23
23YHVH render to every man his RIGHTEOUSNESS and his faithfulness: for YHVH delivered thee into my hand to day, but I would not stretch forth mine hand against YHVH's anointed.
2 Samuel 22:21
21YHVH REWARDED me according to my RIGHTEOUSNESS: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
2 Samuel 22:25
25Therefore YHVH hath recompensed me according to my RIGHTEOUSNESS; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.
1 Kings 3:6
6And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David MY FATHER great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in RIGHTEOUSNESS, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
1 Kings 8:32
32Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the RIGHTEOUS, to give him according to his RIGHTEOUSNESS.
2 Chronicles 6:23
23Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the RIGHTEOUS, by giving him according to his RIGHTEOUSNESS.
29Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my RIGHTEOUSNESS is in it.
6If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy RIGHTEOUSNESS prosperous.
6My RIGHTEOUSNESS I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
14I put on RIGHTEOUSNESS, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.
26He shall pray unto Eloah, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his RIGHTEOUSNESS.
2Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My RIGHTEOUSNESS is more than El's?
8Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy RIGHTEOUSNESS may profit the SON OF MAN.
3I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe RIGHTEOUSNESS to my Maker.
1Hear me when I call, O Elohim of my RIGHTEOUSNESS: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
5Offer the sacrifices of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and put your trust in YHVH.
8Lead me, O YHVH, in thy RIGHTEOUSNESS because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
8YHVH shall judge the people: judge me, O YHVH, according to my RIGHTEOUSNESS, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
17I will praise YHVH according to his RIGHTEOUSNESS: and will sing praise to the name of YHVH most high.
8And he shall judge the world in RIGHTEOUSNESS, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
7For the RIGHTEOUS YHVH loveth RIGHTEOUSNESS; his countenance doth behold the upright.
2He that walketh uprightly, and worketh RIGHTEOUSNESS, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
15As for me, I will behold thy face in RIGHTEOUSNESS: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
20YHVH REWARDED me according to my RIGHTEOUSNESS; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
24Therefore hath YHVH recompensed me according to my RIGHTEOUSNESS, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
31They shall come, and shall DECLARE his RIGHTEOUSNESS unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of RIGHTEOUSNESS for his NAME’S SAKE.
5He shall receive the blessing from YHVH, and RIGHTEOUSNESS from the Elohim of his salvation.
1In thee, O YHVH, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy RIGHTEOUSNESS.
5He loveth RIGHTEOUSNESS and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of YHVH.
24Judge me, O YHVH my Elohim, according to thy RIGHTEOUSNESS; and let them not rejoice over me.
28And my tongue shall speak of thy RIGHTEOUSNESS and of thy praise all the day long.
6Thy RIGHTEOUSNESS is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O YHVH, thou preservest man and beast.
10O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy RIGHTEOUSNESS to the upright in heart.
6And he shall bring forth thy RIGHTEOUSNESS as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
9I have preached RIGHTEOUSNESS in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O YHVH, thou knowest. 10I have not hid thy RIGHTEOUSNESS within my heart; I have DECLARED thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
4And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and RIGHTEOUSNESS; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
7Thou lovest RIGHTEOUSNESS, and hatest wickedness: therefore Elohim, thy Elohim, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10According to thy name, O Elohim, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of RIGHTEOUSNESS.
6And the heavens shall DECLARE his RIGHTEOUSNESS: for Elohim is judge himself. Selah.
14Deliver me from BLOODguiltiness, O Elohim, thou Elohim of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy RIGHTEOUSNESS.
19Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of RIGHTEOUSNESS, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
3Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak RIGHTEOUSNESS. Selah.
1Do ye indeed speak RIGHTEOUSNESS, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
5By terrible things in RIGHTEOUSNESS wilt thou answer us, O Elohim of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:
4O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people RIGHTEOUSly, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
27Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy RIGHTEOUSNESS.
2Deliver me in thy RIGHTEOUSNESS, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
15My mouth shall shew forth thy RIGHTEOUSNESS and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. 16I will go in the strength of the Sovereign YHVH: I will make mention of thy RIGHTEOUSNESS, even of thine only.
19Thy RIGHTEOUSNESS also, O Elohim, is very high, who hast done great things: O Elohim, who is like unto thee!
24My tongue also shall talk of thy RIGHTEOUSNESS all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
1Give the king thy judgments, O Elohim, and thy RIGHTEOUSNESS unto the king's son. 2He shall judge thy people with RIGHTEOUSNESS, and thy poor with judgment. 3The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by RIGHTEOUSNESS.
10Mercy and truth are met together; RIGHTEOUSNESS and peace have kissed each other. 11Truth shall spring out of the earth; and RIGHTEOUSNESS shall look down from heaven.
13RIGHTEOUSNESS shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
12Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy RIGHTEOUSNESS in the land of forgetfulness?
16In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy RIGHTEOUSNESS shall they be exalted.
15But judgment shall return unto RIGHTEOUSNESS: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
10Say among the heathen that YHVH reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people RIGHTEOUSly.
13Before YHVH: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with RIGHTEOUSNESS, and the people with his truth.
2Clouds and darkness are round about him: RIGHTEOUSNESS and judgment are the habitation of his throne.
6The heavens DECLARE his RIGHTEOUSNESS, and all the people see his glory.
2YHVH hath made known his salvation: his RIGHTEOUSNESS hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
9Before YHVH; for he cometh to judge the earth: with RIGHTEOUSNESS shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
4The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and RIGHTEOUSNESS in Jacob.
6YHVH executeth RIGHTEOUSNESS and judgment for all that are oppressed.
17But the mercy of YHVH is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his RIGHTEOUSNESS unto children's children;
3Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth RIGHTEOUSNESS at all times.
31And that was counted unto him for RIGHTEOUSNESS unto all generations for evermore.
3His work is honourable and glorious: and his RIGHTEOUSNESS endureth for ever.
3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his RIGHTEOUSNESS endureth for ever.
9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his RIGHTEOUSNESS endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
19Open to me the gates of RIGHTEOUSNESS: I will go into them, and I will praise YHVH:
40Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy RIGHTEOUSNESS.
123Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy RIGHTEOUSNESS.
142Thy RIGHTEOUSNESS is an everlasting RIGHTEOUSNESS, and thy law is the truth.
144The RIGHTEOUSNESS of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
172My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are RIGHTEOUSNESS.
9Let thy priests be clothed with RIGHTEOUSNESS; and let thy saints shout for joy.
1Hear my prayer, O YHVH, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy RIGHTEOUSNESS.
11Quicken me, O YHVH, for thy NAME’S SAKE: for thy RIGHTEOUSNESS' SAKE bring my soul out of trouble.
7They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy RIGHTEOUSNESS.
9Then shalt thou understand RIGHTEOUSNESS, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
8All the words of my mouth are in RIGHTEOUSNESS; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
18Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and RIGHTEOUSNESS.
20I lead in the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
2Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but RIGHTEOUSNESS delivereth from death.
4Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but RIGHTEOUSNESS delivereth from death. 5The RIGHTEOUSNESS of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. 6The RIGHTEOUSNESS of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
18The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth RIGHTEOUSNESS shall be a sure REWARD. 19As RIGHTEOUSNESS tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.
17He that speaketh truth sheweth forth RIGHTEOUSNESS: but a false witness deceit.
28In the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
6RIGHTEOUSNESS keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.
34RIGHTEOUSNESS exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
9The way of the wicked is an abomination unto YHVH: but he loveth him that followeth after RIGHTEOUSNESS.
8Better is a little with RIGHTEOUSNESS than great revenues without right.
12It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by RIGHTEOUSNESS.
31The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS.
21He that followeth after RIGHTEOUSNESS and mercy findeth life, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and honour.
5Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in RIGHTEOUSNESS.
9Open thy mouth, judge RIGHTEOUSly, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
16And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of RIGHTEOUSNESS, that iniquity was there.
15All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perisheth in his RIGHTEOUSNESS, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness.
21How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; RIGHTEOUSNESS lodged in it; but now murderers.
26And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellers as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of RIGHTEOUSNESS, the faithful city. 27Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with RIGHTEOUSNESS.
7For the vineyard of YHVH of hosts is the HOUSE OF ISRAEL, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for RIGHTEOUSNESS, but behold a cry.
16But YHVH of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and El that is holy shall be sanctified in RIGHTEOUSNESS.
23Which justify the wicked for REWARD, and take away the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the RIGHTEOUS from him!
22For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with RIGHTEOUSNESS.
4But with RIGHTEOUSNESS shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5And RIGHTEOUSNESS shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
5And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting RIGHTEOUSNESS.
9With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn RIGHTEOUSNESS. 10Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn RIGHTEOUSNESS: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of YHVH.
17Judgment also will I lay to the line, and RIGHTEOUSNESS to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
1Behold, a king shall reign in RIGHTEOUSNESS, and princes shall rule in judgment.
16Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and RIGHTEOUSNESS remain in the fruitful field. 17And the work of RIGHTEOUSNESS shall be peace; and the effect of RIGHTEOUSNESS quietness and assurance for ever.
5YHVH is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and RIGHTEOUSNESS.
15He that walketh RIGHTEOUSly, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of BLOOD, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
10Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy Elohim: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my RIGHTEOUSNESS.
6I YHVH have called thee in RIGHTEOUSNESS, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
21YHVH is well pleased for his RIGHTEOUSNESS' SAKE; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
8Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down RIGHTEOUSNESS: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let RIGHTEOUSNESS spring up together; I YHVH have created it.
13I have raised him up in RIGHTEOUSNESS, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor REWARD, saith YHVH of hosts.
19I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I YHVH speak RIGHTEOUSNESS, I DECLARE things that are right.
23I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in RIGHTEOUSNESS, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. 24Surely, shall one say, in YHVH have I RIGHTEOUSNESS and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
12Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from RIGHTEOUSNESS: 13I bring near my RIGHTEOUSNESS; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
1Hear ye this, O HOUSE OF JACOB, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of YHVH, and make mention of the Elohim of Israel, but not in truth, nor in RIGHTEOUSNESS.
18O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy RIGHTEOUSNESS as the waves of the sea:
1Hearken to me, ye that follow after RIGHTEOUSNESS, ye that seek YHVH: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.
5My RIGHTEOUSNESS is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust. 6Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever and my RIGHTEOUSNESS shall not be abolished. 7Hearken unto me, ye that know RIGHTEOUSNESS, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings. 8For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my RIGHTEOUSNESS shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
14In RIGHTEOUSNESS shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
17No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of YHVH, and their RIGHTEOUSNESS is of me, saith YHVH.
1Thus saith YHVH, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my RIGHTEOUSNESS to be revealed.
12I will DECLARE thy RIGHTEOUSNESS, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.
2Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did RIGHTEOUSNESS, and forsook not the ordinance of their Elohim: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to Elohim.
8Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy RIGHTEOUSNESS shall go before thee; the glory of YHVH shall be thy REREWARD.
16And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his RIGHTEOUSNESS, it sustained him. 17For he put on RIGHTEOUSNESS as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
17For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors RIGHTEOUSNESS.
3To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of RIGHTEOUSNESS, the planting of YHVH, that he might be glorified.
10I will greatly rejoice in YHVH, my soul shall be joyful in my Elohim; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of RIGHTEOUSNESS, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. 11For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Master YHVH will cause RIGHTEOUSNESS and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
1For Zion's SAKE will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's SAKE I will not rest, until the RIGHTEOUSNESS thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 2And the Gentiles shall see thy RIGHTEOUSNESS, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of YHVH shall name.
1Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in RIGHTEOUSNESS, mighty to save.
5Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh RIGHTEOUSNESS, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved. 6But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our RIGHTEOUSNESSes are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
2And thou shalt swear, YHVH liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in RIGHTEOUSNESS; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
24But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am YHVH which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and RIGHTEOUSNESS, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith YHVH.
20But, O YHVH of hosts, that judgest RIGHTEOUSly, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
3Thus saith YHVH; Execute ye judgment and RIGHTEOUSNESS, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent BLOOD in this place.
6In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, YHVH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
15In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of RIGHTEOUSNESS to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and RIGHTEOUSNESS in the land. 16In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, YHVH our RIGHTEOUSNESS.
10YHVH hath brought forth our RIGHTEOUSNESS: come, and let us DECLARE in Zion the work of YHVH our Elohim.
20Again, When a RIGHTEOUS man doth turn from his RIGHTEOUSNESS, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his RIGHTEOUSNESS which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his BLOOD will I require at thine hand.
14Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their RIGHTEOUSNESS, saith the Sovereign YHVH.
20Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Sovereign YHVH, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their RIGHTEOUSNESS.
20The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the RIGHTEOUS shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
22All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his RIGHTEOUSNESS that he hath done he shall live.
24But when the RIGHTEOUS turneth away from his RIGHTEOUSNESS, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his RIGHTEOUSNESS that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
26When a RIGHTEOUS man turneth away from his RIGHTEOUSNESS, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
12Therefore, thou SON OF MAN, say unto the children of thy people, The RIGHTEOUSNESS of the RIGHTEOUS shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the RIGHTEOUS be able to live for his RIGHTEOUSNESS in the day that he sinneth. 13When I shall say to the RIGHTEOUS, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own RIGHTEOUSNESS, and commit iniquity, all his RIGHTEOUSNESSes shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
18When the RIGHTEOUS turneth from his RIGHTEOUSNESS, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
27Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by RIGHTEOUSNESS, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
7O YHVH, RIGHTEOUSNESS belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
16O YHVH, according to all thy RIGHTEOUSNESS, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
18O my Elohim, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our RIGHTEOUSNESSes, but for thy great mercies.
24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting RIGHTEOUSNESS, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
3And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to RIGHTEOUSNESS as the stars FOR EVER AND EVER.
19And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in RIGHTEOUSNESS, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
12Sow to yourselves in RIGHTEOUSNESS, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek YHVH, till he come and rain RIGHTEOUSNESS upon you.
7Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off RIGHTEOUSNESS in the earth,
24But let judgment run down as waters, and RIGHTEOUSNESS as a mighty stream.
12Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of RIGHTEOUSNESS into hemlock:
5O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the RIGHTEOUSNESS of YHVH.
9I will bear the indignation of YHVH, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his RIGHTEOUSNESS.
3Seek ye YHVH, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek RIGHTEOUSNESS, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of YHVH's anger.
8And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their Elohim, in truth and in RIGHTEOUSNESS.
3And he shall sit as a refiner and purifer of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto YHVH an offering in RIGHTEOUSNESS.
2But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of RIGHTEOUSNESS arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
15And YAHUSHUA answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all RIGHTEOUSNESS. Then he suffered him.
6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after RIGHTEOUSNESS: for they shall be filled.
10Blessed are they which are persecuted for RIGHTEOUSNESS' SAKE: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
20For I say unto you, That except your RIGHTEOUSNESS shall exceed the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
33But seek ye first the kingdom of Elohim, and his RIGHTEOUSNESS; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32For John came unto you in the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
75In holiness and RIGHTEOUSNESS before him, all the days of our life.
8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and of judgment:
10Of RIGHTEOUSNESS, because I go to MY FATHER, and ye see me no more;
35But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh RIGHTEOUSNESS, is accepted with him.
10And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all RIGHTEOUSNESS, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of YHVH?
31Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in RIGHTEOUSNESS by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
25And as he reasoned of RIGHTEOUSNESS, temperance, and judgment to come Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
17For therein is the RIGHTEOUSNESS of YHVH revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
26Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
5But if our unRIGHTEOUSNESS commend the RIGHTEOUSNESS of YHVH, what shall we say? Is YHVH unRIGHTEOUS who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
21But now the RIGHTEOUSNESS of YHVH without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22Even the RIGHTEOUSNESS of YHVH which is by faith of YAHUSHUA the Messiah unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
25Whom YHVH hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his BLOOD, to DECLARE his RIGHTEOUSNESS for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of YHVH; 26To DECLARE, I say, at this time his RIGHTEOUSNESS: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in YAHUSHUA.
3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed YHVH, and it was counted unto him for RIGHTEOUSNESS.
5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the unRIGHTEOUS, his faith is counted for RIGHTEOUSNESS. 6Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom YHVH imputeth RIGHTEOUSNESS without works,
9Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for RIGHTEOUSNESS.
11And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that RIGHTEOUSNESS might be imputed unto them also:
13For the promise, that he should be the HEIR of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the RIGHTEOUSNESS of faith.
22And therefore it was imputed to him for RIGHTEOUSNESS.
17For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of favour and of the gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS shall reign in life by one, YAHUSHUA the Messiah.) 18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the RIGHTEOUSNESS of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might favour reign through RIGHTEOUSNESS unto eternal life by YAHUSHUA the Messiah our Saviour.
13Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unRIGHTEOUSNESS unto sin: but yield yourselves unto YHVH, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of RIGHTEOUSNESS unto YHVH.
16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto RIGHTEOUSNESS?
18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of RIGHTEOUSNESS. 19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to RIGHTEOUSNESS unto holiness. 20For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from RIGHTEOUSNESS.
4That the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
10And if the Messiah be IN YOU, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of RIGHTEOUSNESS.
28For he will finish the work, and cut it short in RIGHTEOUSNESS: because a short work will YHVH make upon the earth.
30What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after RIGHTEOUSNESS, have attained to RIGHTEOUSNESS, even the RIGHTEOUSNESS which is of faith. 31But Israel, which followed after the law of RIGHTEOUSNESS, hath not attained to the law of RIGHTEOUSNESS.
3For they being ignorant of YHVH's RIGHTEOUSNESS, and going about to establish their own RIGHTEOUSNESS, have not submitted themselves unto the RIGHTEOUSNESS of YHVH. 4For the Messiah is the end of the law for RIGHTEOUSNESS to every one that believeth. 5For Moses describeth the RIGHTEOUSNESS which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. 6But the RIGHTEOUSNESS which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring the Messiah down from above:)
10For with the heart man believeth unto RIGHTEOUSNESS; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
17For the kingdom of YHVH is not meat and drink; but RIGHTEOUSNESS, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 1:30
30But of him are ye in the Messiah YAHUSHUA, who of YHVH is made unto us wisdom, and RIGHTEOUSNESS, and sanctification, and redemption:
1 Corinthians 15:34
34Awake to RIGHTEOUSNESS, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of Elohim: I speak this to your shame.
2 Corinthians 3:9
9For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of RIGHTEOUSNESS exceed in glory.
2 Corinthians 5:21
21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the RIGHTEOUSNESS of YHVH in him.
2 Corinthians 6:7
7By the word of truth, by the power of Elohim, by the armour of RIGHTEOUSNESS on the right hand and on the left,
2 Corinthians 6:14
14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath RIGHTEOUSNESS with unRIGHTEOUSNESS? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2 Corinthians 9:9-10
9(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his RIGHTEOUSNESS remaineth for ever. 10Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your RIGHTEOUSNESS;)
2 Corinthians 11:15
15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of RIGHTEOUSNESS; whose end shall be according to their works.
21I do not frustrate the favour of YHVH: for if RIGHTEOUSNESS come by the law, then the Messiah is dead in vain.
6Even as Abraham believed YHVH, and it was accounted to him for RIGHTEOUSNESS.
21Is the law then against the promises of YHVH? By no means: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily RIGHTEOUSNESS should have been by the law.
5For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of RIGHTEOUSNESS by faith.
24And that ye put on the new man, which after Elohim is created in RIGHTEOUSNESS and true holiness.
9(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and RIGHTEOUSNESS and truth;)
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS;
11Being filled with the fruits of RIGHTEOUSNESS, which are by YAHUSHUA the Messiah, unto the glory and praise of YHVH.
6Concerning zeal, persecuting the assembly; touching the RIGHTEOUSNESS which is in the law, blameless.
9And be found in him, not having mine own RIGHTEOUSNESS, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of the Messiah, the RIGHTEOUSNESS which is of YHVH by faith:
1 Timothy 4:7
7But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto RIGHTEOUSNESS.
1 Timothy 6:5
5Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is RIGHTEOUSNESS: from such withdraw thyself.
1 Timothy 6:11
11But thou, O man of YHVH, flee these things; and follow after RIGHTEOUSNESS, reverence, faith, love, patience, meekness.
2 Timothy 2:22
22Flee also youthful lusts: but follow RIGHTEOUSNESS, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on YHVH out of a pure heart.
2 Timothy 3:16
16All scripture is given by inspiration of YHVH, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in RIGHTEOUSNESS:
2 Timothy 4:8
8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of RIGHTEOUSNESS, which YAHUSHUA, the RIGHTEOUS judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
12Teaching us that, denying wickedness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, RIGHTEOUSly, and reverently, in the present age;
5Not by works of RIGHTEOUSNESS which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Set-apart Spirit;
8But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O Elohim, is FOR EVER AND EVER: a sceptre of RIGHTEOUSNESS is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9Thou hast loved RIGHTEOUSNESS, and hated iniquity; therefore Elohim, even thy Elohim, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of RIGHTEOUSNESS: for he is a babe.
2To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
7By faith Noah, being warned of YHVH of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became HEIR of the RIGHTEOUSNESS which is by faith.
33Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought RIGHTEOUSNESS, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
11Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of RIGHTEOUSNESS unto them which are exercised thereby.
20For the wrath of man worketh not the RIGHTEOUSNESS of YHVH.
23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed YHVH, and it was imputed unto him for RIGHTEOUSNESS: and he was called the Friend of YHVH.
18And the fruit of RIGHTEOUSNESS is sown in peace of them that make peace.
1 Peter 2:23-24
23Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth RIGHTEOUSly: 24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto RIGHTEOUSNESS: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1 Peter 3:14
14But and if ye suffer for RIGHTEOUSNESS' SAKE, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
2 Peter 1:1
1Simon Kepha, a servant and an apostle of YAHUSHUA the Messiah, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the RIGHTEOUSNESS of YHVH and our Saviour YAHUSHUA the Messiah:
2 Peter 2:5
5And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of RIGHTEOUSNESS, bringing in the flood upon the world of the wicked;
2 Peter 2:21
21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2 Peter 3:13
13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth RIGHTEOUSNESS.
1 John 2:29
29If you know that He is RIGHTEOUS, you know that everyone who practices RIGHTEOUSNESS is born of Him.
1 John 3:7
7Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices RIGHTEOUSNESS is RIGHTEOUS, just as He is RIGHTEOUS.
1 John 3:10
10In this the children of YHWH and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice RIGHTEOUSNESS is not of YHWH, nor is he who does not love his brother.
Revelation of John 19:8
8And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the RIGHTEOUSNESS of saints.
Revelation of John 19:11
11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in RIGHTEOUSNESS he doth judge and make war.
BOOK OF ENOCH
1. I swear to you, ye RIGHTEOUS, that in heaven the ANGELS record your goodness before the glory of the mighty One.
2. Wait with patient hope ; for formerly you have been disgraced with evil and with affliction ; but now shall you shine like the luminaries of heaven. You shall be seen, and the gates of heaven shall be opened to you. Your cries have cried for judgment ; and it has appeared to you : for an account of all your sufferings shall be required from the princes, and from every one who has assisted your plunderers.
3. Wait with patient hope ; nor relinquish your confidence ; for great joy shall be yours, like that of the ANGELS in heaven. Conduct yourselves as you may, still you shall not be concealed in the day of the great judgment. You shall not be found like sinners ; and eternal condemnation shall be far from you, so long as the world exists.
4. And now fear not, ye RIGHTEOUS, when you see sinners flourishing and prosperousin their ways.
5. Be not associates with them; but keep yourselves at a distance from their oppression ; be you associated with the host of heaven.
I perceived in my dream, that I was now speaking with a tongue of flesh, and with my breath, which the Mighty One has put into the mouth of men, that they might converse with it.
2. And understand with the heart. As he has created and given to men the power of comprehending the word of understanding, so has he created and given to me the power of reproving the Watchers,
1. I lifted up my hands in RIGHTEOUSNESS, and blessed the holy, and the Great One. I spoke with the breath of my mouth, and with a tongue of flesh, which God has formed for all the sons of mortal men, that with it they may speak giving thembreath, a mouth, and a tongue to converse with. 2. Blessed art thou, Lord, the King, great and powerful in thy greatness, Lord of all the creatures of heaven, King of kings, God of the whole world, whose reign, whose kingdom, and whose majestyendure FOR EVER AND EVER. 3. From generation to generation shall thy dominion exist. All the heavens are thy throne for ever, and all the earth thy footstool for ever and for ever.
4. For thou hast made them, and over all thou reignest. No act whatsoever exceeds thy power. With thee wisdom is unchangeable ; nor from thy throne and from thy presence is it ever averted. Thou knowest all things, seest and hearest themnor is anything concealed from thee ; for thou perceivest all things.
He spoke to holy Michael to discover to them the sacred name, that they might understand that secret name, and thus remember the oath; and that those who pointed out every secret thing to the children of men might tremble at that name and oath.
21. This is the power of that oath ; for powerful it is, and strong.
22. And he established this oath of Akae by the instrumentality of the holy Michael.
1. In those days, saith the Lord, they shall call to the children of the earth, and make them listen to their wisdom. Show them that you are their leaders
2. And that renumeration shall take place over the whole earth ; for I and my Son will for ever hold communion with them in the paths of uprightness, while they are still alive. Peace shall be yours. Rejoice, children of integrity, in the truth.
2 Samuel 22:21
21The LORD rewarded me because of my RIGHTEOUSNESS, because my hands are clean. He paid me back
2 Samuel 22:25
25The LORD paid me back because of my RIGHTEOUSNESS, because he can see that I am clean.
1 Kings 3:6
6Solomon responded, "You've shown great love to my father David, who was your servant. He lived in your presence with truth, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and commitment. And you continued to show him your great love by giving him a son to sit on his throne today.
1 Kings 10:9
9Thank the LORD your God, who is pleased with you. He has put you on the throne of Israel. Because of your God's eternal love for the people of Israel, he has made you king so that you would maintain justice and RIGHTEOUSNESS."
2 Chronicles 9:8
8Thank the LORD your God, who is pleased with you. He has put you on his throne to be king on behalf of the LORD your God. Because of your God's love for the people of Israel, he has established them permanently and made you king over them so that you would maintain justice and RIGHTEOUSNESS."
3Does God distort justice, or does the Almighty distort RIGHTEOUSNESS?
6if you are moral and ethical, then he will rise up on your behalf and prove your RIGHTEOUSNESS by rebuilding your home.
6I cling to my RIGHTEOUSNESS and won't let go. My conscience won't accuse me as long as I live.
14I put on RIGHTEOUSNESS, and it was my clothing. I practiced justice, and it was my robe and my turban.
26They will pray to God, who will be pleased with them. They will see God's face and shout for joy as he restores their RIGHTEOUSNESS.
8Your wickedness affects only someone like yourself. Your RIGHTEOUSNESS affects only the descendants of Adam.
23The Almighty, whom we can't reach, is great in power and judgment, has more than enough RIGHTEOUSNESS, and does not oppress.
1Answer me when I call, O God of my RIGHTEOUSNESS. You have freed me from my troubles. Have pity on me, and hear my prayer!
5Offer the sacrifices of RIGHTEOUSNESS by trusting the LORD.
8O LORD, lead me in your RIGHTEOUSNESS because of those who spy on me. Make your way in front of me smooth.
8The LORD judges the people of the world. Judge me, O LORD, according to my RIGHTEOUSNESS, according to my integrity.
17I will give thanks to the LORD for his RIGHTEOUSNESS. I will make music to praise the name of the LORD Most High.
8He alone judges the world with RIGHTEOUSNESS. He judges its people fairly.
20The LORD rewarded me because of my RIGHTEOUSNESS, because my hands are clean. He paid me back
24The LORD paid me back because of my RIGHTEOUSNESS, because he can see that my hands are clean.
31They will tell people yet to be born about his RIGHTEOUSNESS-- that he has finished it.
3He renews my soul. He guides me along the paths of RIGHTEOUSNESS for the sake of his name.
5This person will receive a blessing from the LORD and RIGHTEOUSNESS from God, his savior.
1I have taken refuge in you, O LORD. Never let me be put to shame. Save me because of your RIGHTEOUSNESS.
5The LORD loves RIGHTEOUSNESS and justice. His mercy fills the earth.
24Judge me by your RIGHTEOUSNESS, O LORD my God. Do not let them gloat over me
28Then my tongue will tell about your RIGHTEOUSNESS, about your praise all day long.
6Your RIGHTEOUSNESS is like the mountains of God, your judgments like the deep ocean. You save people and animals, O LORD.
10Continue to show your mercy to those who know you and your RIGHTEOUSNESS to those whose motives are decent.
6He will make your RIGHTEOUSNESS shine like a light, your just cause like the noonday sun.
9I will announce the good news of RIGHTEOUSNESS among those assembled for worship. I will not close my lips. You know that, O LORD. 10I have not buried your RIGHTEOUSNESS deep in my heart. I have been outspoken about your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not hidden your mercy and your truth from those assembled for worship.
4Ride on victoriously in your majesty for the cause of truth, humility, and RIGHTEOUSNESS. Let your right hand teach you awe-inspiring things.
10Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with RIGHTEOUSNESS.
6The heavens announce his RIGHTEOUSNESS because God is the judge. Selah
14Rescue me from the guilt of murder, O God, my savior. Let my tongue sing joyfully about your RIGHTEOUSNESS!
5You answer us with awe-inspiring acts done in RIGHTEOUSNESS, O God, our savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the most distant sea,
2Rescue me and free me because of your RIGHTEOUSNESS. Turn your ear toward me, and save me.
15My mouth will tell about your RIGHTEOUSNESS, about your salvation all day long. Even then, it is more than I can understand. 16I will come with the mighty deeds of the Almighty LORD. I will praise your RIGHTEOUSNESS, yours alone.
19Your RIGHTEOUSNESS reaches to the heavens, O God. You have done great things. O God, who is like you?
24My tongue will tell about your RIGHTEOUSNESS all day long, because those who wanted my downfall have been disgraced and put to shame.
1O God, give the king your justice and the king's son your RIGHTEOUSNESS
2so that he may judge your people with RIGHTEOUSNESS and your oppressed people with justice. 3May the mountains bring peace to the people and the hills bring RIGHTEOUSNESS.
10Mercy and truth have met. RIGHTEOUSNESS and peace have kissed. 11Truth sprouts from the ground, and RIGHTEOUSNESS looks down from heaven.
13RIGHTEOUSNESS will go ahead of him and make a path for his steps.
12Will anyone know about your miracles in that dark place or about your RIGHTEOUSNESS in the place where forgotten people live?
14RIGHTEOUSNESS and justice are the foundations of your throne. Mercy and truth stand in front of you.
16They find joy in your name all day long. They are joyful in your RIGHTEOUSNESS
13in the LORD's presence because he is coming. He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with RIGHTEOUSNESS and its people with his truth.
2Clouds and darkness surround him. RIGHTEOUSNESS and justice are the foundations of his throne.
6The heavens tell about his RIGHTEOUSNESS, and all the people of the world see his glory.
2The LORD has made his salvation known. He has uncovered his RIGHTEOUSNESS for the nations to see.
17But from everlasting to everlasting, the LORD's mercy is on those who fear him. His RIGHTEOUSNESS belongs to their children and grandchildren,
3His work is glorious and majestic. His RIGHTEOUSNESS continues forever.
3Wealth and riches will be in his home. His RIGHTEOUSNESS continues forever.
9He gives freely to poor people. His RIGHTEOUSNESS continues forever. His head is raised in honor.
19Open the gates of RIGHTEOUSNESS for me. I will go through them and give thanks to the LORD.
7I will give thanks to you as I learn your regulations, which are based on your RIGHTEOUSNESS.
40I long for your guiding principles. Give me a new life in your RIGHTEOUSNESS.
62At midnight I wake up to give thanks to you for the regulations, which are based on your RIGHTEOUSNESS.
106I took an oath, and I will keep it. I took an oath to follow your regulations, which are based on your RIGHTEOUSNESS.
142Your RIGHTEOUSNESS is an everlasting RIGHTEOUSNESS, and your teachings are reliable.
9Clothe your priests with RIGHTEOUSNESS. Let your godly ones sing with joy.
7They will announce what they remember of your great goodness, and they will joyfully sing about your RIGHTEOUSNESS.
3to acquire the discipline of wise behavior-- RIGHTEOUSNESS and justice and fairness--
13from those who abandon the paths of RIGHTEOUSNESS to walk the ways of darkness,
18I have riches and honor, lasting wealth and RIGHTEOUSNESS.
20I walk in the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS, on the paths of justice,
2Treasures gained dishonestly profit no one, but RIGHTEOUSNESS rescues from death.
4Riches are of no help on the day of fury, but RIGHTEOUSNESS saves from death.
5The RIGHTEOUSNESS of innocent people makes their road smooth, but wicked people fall by their own wickedness. 6Decent people are saved by their RIGHTEOUSNESS, but treacherous people are trapped by their own greed.
18A wicked person earns dishonest wages, but whoever spreads RIGHTEOUSNESS earns honest pay.
19As RIGHTEOUSNESS leads to life, so whoever pursues evil finds his own death.
28Everlasting life is on the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS. Eternal death is not along its path.
6RIGHTEOUSNESS protects the honest way of life, but wickedness ruins a sacrifice for sin.
34RIGHTEOUSNESS lifts up a nation, but sin is a disgrace in any society.
9The way of wicked people is disgusting to the LORD, but he loves those who pursue RIGHTEOUSNESS.
12Wrongdoing is disgusting to kings because a throne is established through RIGHTEOUSNESS.
21Whoever pursues RIGHTEOUSNESS and mercy will find life, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and honor.
16I saw something else under the sun: There is wickedness where justice should be found. There is wickedness where RIGHTEOUSNESS should be found.
21How the faithful town has become a prostitute! She was full of justice, and RIGHTEOUSNESS lived in her. But now murderers live there!
27Zion will be pardoned by the LORD's justice, and those who return will be pardoned by the LORD's RIGHTEOUSNESS.
7The vineyard of the LORD of Armies is the nation of Israel, and the people of Judah are the garden of his delight. He hoped for justice but saw only slaughter, for RIGHTEOUSNESS but heard only cries of distress.
7His government and peace will have unlimited growth. He will establish David's throne and kingdom. He will uphold it with justice and RIGHTEOUSNESS now and forever. The LORD of Armies is determined to do this!
17I will make justice a measuring line and RIGHTEOUSNESS a plumb line. Hail will sweep away your refuge of lies, and floodwaters will wash away your hiding place.
16Then justice will live in the wilderness, and RIGHTEOUSNESS will be at home in the fertile field. 17Then an act of RIGHTEOUSNESS will bring about peace, calm, and safety forever.
5The LORD is honored because he lives on high. He will fill Zion with justice and RIGHTEOUSNESS.
8Rain down from above, you heavens, and pour down RIGHTEOUSNESS, you skies. Let the earth open. Let salvation and RIGHTEOUSNESS sprout. Let them spring up. I, the LORD, have created them.
24It will be said of me, "Certainly, RIGHTEOUSNESS and strength are found in the LORD alone." All who are angry with him will come to him and be ashamed.
13I'll bring my RIGHTEOUSNESS near; it isn't far away. My salvation will not be delayed. I'll provide salvation for Zion and bring my glory to Israel.
18If only you had listened to my commands! Your peace would be like a river that never runs dry. Your RIGHTEOUSNESS would be like waves on the sea.
5My RIGHTEOUSNESS is near. My salvation is on the way. I will bring justice to people. The coastlands put their hope in me, and they wait eagerly for me. 6Look at the sky. Look at the earth below. The sky will vanish like smoke. The earth will wear out like clothing, and those who live there will die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, and my RIGHTEOUSNESS will never fail. 7Listen to me, you people who know RIGHTEOUSNESS, you people who have my teachings in your hearts. Don't be afraid of being insulted by people. Don't be discouraged by their ridicule. 8Moths will eat them like clothing. Worms will devour them like wool. But my RIGHTEOUSNESS will last forever, and my salvation will last throughout every generation.
14You will be established in RIGHTEOUSNESS. You will be far from oppression, so you will not be afraid. You will be far from destruction, so it won't come near you.
1This is what the LORD says: Preserve justice, and do what is right. My salvation is about to come. My RIGHTEOUSNESS is about to be revealed.
8Then your light will break through like the dawn, and you will heal quickly. Your RIGHTEOUSNESS will go ahead of you, and the glory of the LORD will guard you from behind.
9That is why justice is far from us, and RIGHTEOUSNESS doesn't reach us. We hope for light, but we walk in darkness. We hope for brightness, but we walk in gloom.
14Justice is turned back, and RIGHTEOUSNESS stands far away. Truth has fallen in the street, and honesty can't come in.
16He sees that there's no one to help. He's astounded that there's no one to intercede. So with his own power he wins a victory. His RIGHTEOUSNESS supports him. 17He puts on RIGHTEOUSNESS like a coat of armor and a helmet of salvation on his head. He wears clothes of vengeance. He wraps himself with fury as a coat.
17I will bring gold instead of bronze. I will bring silver instead of iron, bronze instead of wood, and iron instead of stone. I will appoint peace as your governor and RIGHTEOUSNESS as your ruler.
3He has sent me to provide for all those who grieve in Zion, to give them crowns instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of tears of grief, and clothes of praise instead of a spirit of weakness. They will be called Oaks of RIGHTEOUSNESS, the Plantings of the LORD, so that he might display his glory.
10I will find joy in the LORD. I will delight in my God. He has dressed me in the clothes of salvation. He has wrapped me in the robe of RIGHTEOUSNESS like a bridegroom with a priest's turban, like a bride with her jewels. 11Like the ground that brings forth its crops and like a garden that makes the seed in it grow, so the Almighty LORD will make RIGHTEOUSNESS and praise spring up in front of all nations.
1For Zion's sake I will not remain silent. For Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until its RIGHTEOUSNESS shines like the dawn and its salvation burns brightly like a torch. 2The nations will see your RIGHTEOUSNESS. All kings will see your glory. You will be given a new name that the LORD will announce.
24If they want to brag, they should brag that they understand and know me. They should brag that I, the LORD, act out of love, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and justice on the earth. This kind of bragging pleases me, declares the LORD.
6In his lifetime, Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety. This is the name that he will be given: The LORD Our RIGHTEOUSNESS.
23This is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: When I have brought them back from captivity, they will once again use this saying in Judah and in its cities: "The LORD will bless you, home of RIGHTEOUSNESS, holy mountain.
16In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live securely. Jerusalem will be called The LORD Our RIGHTEOUSNESS.
14Even if these three men--Noah, Daniel, and Job--were in that country, they would, by their RIGHTEOUSNESS, rescue only themselves," declares the Almighty LORD.
20As I live, declares the Almighty LORD, not even Noah, Daniel, and Job could, by their RIGHTEOUSNESS, rescue their sons or daughters. They could rescue only themselves.
20The person who sins will die. A son will not be punished for his father's sins, and a father will not be punished for his son's sins. The RIGHTEOUSNESS of the RIGHTEOUS person will be his own, and the wickedness of the wicked person will be his own.
24"Seventy sets of seven time periods have been assigned for your people and your holy city. These time periods will serve to bring an end to rebellion, to stop sin, to forgive wrongs, to usher in everlasting RIGHTEOUSNESS, to put a seal on a prophet's vision, and to anoint the Most Holy One.
3Those who are wise will shine like the brightness on the horizon. Those who lead many people to RIGHTEOUSNESS will shine like the stars forever and ever.
12"Break new ground. Plant RIGHTEOUSNESS, and harvest the fruit that your loyalty will produce for me." It's time to seek the LORD! When he comes, he will rain RIGHTEOUSNESS on you.
23People of Zion, be glad and find joy in the LORD your God. The LORD has given you the Teacher of RIGHTEOUSNESS. He has sent the autumn rain and the spring rain as before.
7You, Israel, turn justice into poison and throw RIGHTEOUSNESS on the ground.
24But let justice flow like a river and RIGHTEOUSNESS like an ever-flowing stream.
2"The Sun of RIGHTEOUSNESS will rise with healing in his wings for you people who fear my name. You will go out and leap like calves let out of a stall.

17'Can any mortal be RIGHTEOUS to God? Can any human being be pure to his maker?'
2"Yes, I know that this is true. But how can a mortal be declared RIGHTEOUS to God?
20If I am RIGHTEOUS, my own mouth would condemn me. It would declare that I am corrupt even if I am a man of integrity.
15How terrible it will be for me if I'm guilty! Even if I'm RIGHTEOUS, I dare not lift up my head. I am filled with disgrace while I look on my misery.
4I am a laughingstock to my neighbors. I am one who calls on God and expects an answer. A man of integrity, a man who is RIGHTEOUS, has become a laughingstock.
18I have prepared my case. I know that I will be declared RIGHTEOUS.
14Why should a mortal be considered faultless or someone born of a woman be considered RIGHTEOUS?
9Yet, the RIGHTEOUS person clings to his way, and the one with clean hands grows stronger.
3Is the Almighty pleased when you are RIGHTEOUS? Does he gain anything when you follow the path of integrity?
19The RIGHTEOUS saw it and were glad, and the innocent made fun of them by saying,
4How can a person be RIGHTEOUS to God? How can anyone born of a woman be pure?
17RIGHTEOUS people will wear what he piles up, and the innocent will divide the silver among themselves.
1These three men stopped answering Job because Job thought he was RIGHTEOUS. 2Then Elihu, son of Barachel, a descendant of Buz from the family of Ram, became very angry with Job because Job thought he was more RIGHTEOUS than God.
5because Job has said, 'I'm RIGHTEOUS, but God has taken away my rights.
17Should anyone who hates justice be allowed to govern? Will you condemn the one who is RIGHTEOUS and mighty?
19The one who is RIGHTEOUS and mighty does not grant special favors to princes or prefer important people over poor people because his hands made them all.
7If you're RIGHTEOUS, what can you give him, or what can he get from you?
7He doesn't take his eyes off RIGHTEOUS people. He seats them on thrones with kings to honor them forever. 8However, if RIGHTEOUS people are bound in chains and tangled in ropes of misery,
11"If RIGHTEOUS people listen and serve him, they will live out their days in prosperity and their years in comfort.
8"Would you undo my justice? Would you condemn me so that you can be RIGHTEOUS?
5That is why wicked people will not be able to stand in the judgment and sinners will not be able to stand where RIGHTEOUS people gather. 6The LORD knows the way of RIGHTEOUS people, but the way of wicked people will end.
12You bless RIGHTEOUS people, O LORD. Like a large shield, you surround them with your favor.
9Let the evil within wicked people come to an end, but make the RIGHTEOUS person secure, O RIGHTEOUS God who examines thoughts and emotions.

5There they are--panic-stricken because God is with the person who is RIGHTEOUS.
2The one who walks with integrity, does what is RIGHTEOUS, and speaks the truth within his heart.
18Let their lying lips be speechless, since they speak against RIGHTEOUS people with arrogance and contempt.
11Be glad and find joy in the LORD, you RIGHTEOUS people. Sing with joy, all whose motives are decent.
1Joyfully sing to the LORD, you RIGHTEOUS people. Praising the LORD is proper for decent people.
15The LORD's eyes are on RIGHTEOUS people. His ears hear their cry for help.
17RIGHTEOUS people cry out. The LORD hears and rescues them from all their troubles.

21Evil will kill wicked people, and those who hate RIGHTEOUS people will be condemned.
12The wicked person plots against a RIGHTEOUS one and grits his teeth at him.
16The little that the RIGHTEOUS person has is better than the wealth of many wicked people. 17The arms of wicked people will be broken, but the LORD continues to support RIGHTEOUS people.
21A wicked person borrows, but he does not repay. A RIGHTEOUS person is generous and giving.

22Turn your burdens over to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will never let the RIGHTEOUS person stumble.
10RIGHTEOUS people will rejoice when they see God take revenge. They will wash their feet in the blood of wicked people. 11Then people will say, "RIGHTEOUS people certainly have a reward. There is a God who judges on earth."
10RIGHTEOUS people will find joy in the LORD and take refuge in him. Everyone whose motives are decent will be able to brag.
3But let RIGHTEOUS people rejoice. Let them celebrate in God's presence. Let them overflow with joy.
28Let their names be erased from the Book of Life. Do not let them be listed with RIGHTEOUS people.
7May RIGHTEOUS people blossom in his day. May there be unlimited peace until the moon no longer shines.

12RIGHTEOUS people flourish like palm trees and grow tall like the cedars in Lebanon.
21They join forces to take the lives of RIGHTEOUS people. They condemn innocent people to death.

164Seven times a day I praise you for your RIGHTEOUS regulations.
3A wicked ruler will not be allowed to govern the land set aside for RIGHTEOUS people. That is why RIGHTEOUS people do not use their power to do wrong.
4The LORD is RIGHTEOUS. He has cut me loose from the ropes that wicked people tied around me.
13Indeed, RIGHTEOUS people will give thanks to your name. Decent people will live in your presence.
5A RIGHTEOUS person may strike me or correct me out of kindness. It is like lotion for my head. My head will not refuse it, because my prayer is directed against evil deeds.
7Release my soul from prison so that I may give thanks to your name. RIGHTEOUS people will surround me because you are good to me.
1O LORD, listen to my prayer. Open your ears to hear my urgent requests. Answer me because you are faithful and RIGHTEOUS. 2Do not take me to court for judgment, because there is no one alive who is RIGHTEOUS in your presence.
11O LORD, keep me alive for the sake of your name. Because you are RIGHTEOUS, lead me out of trouble.
8The LORD gives sight to blind people. The LORD straightens the backs of those who are bent over. The LORD loves RIGHTEOUS people.
20So walk in the way of good people and stay on the paths of RIGHTEOUS people.
33The LORD curses the house of wicked people, but he blesses the home of RIGHTEOUS people.

16A RIGHTEOUS person's reward is life. A wicked person's harvest is sin.
20The tongue of a RIGHTEOUS person is pure silver. The hearts of wicked people are worthless. 21The lips of a RIGHTEOUS person feed many, but stubborn fools die because they have no sense.
24That which wicked people dread happens to them, but the LORD grants the desire of RIGHTEOUS people. 25When the storm has passed, the wicked person has vanished, but the RIGHTEOUS person has an everlasting foundation.
28The hope of RIGHTEOUS people leads to joy, but the eager waiting of wicked people comes to nothing.
30A RIGHTEOUS person will never be moved, but wicked people will not continue to live in the land.
31The mouth of a RIGHTEOUS person increases wisdom, but a devious tongue will be cut off. 32The lips of a RIGHTEOUS person announce good will, but the mouths of wicked people are devious.
8A RIGHTEOUS person is rescued from trouble, and a wicked person takes his place.
9With his talk a godless person can ruin his neighbor, but RIGHTEOUS people are rescued by knowledge.
10When RIGHTEOUS people prosper, a city is glad. When wicked people die, there are songs of joy.
21Certainly, an evil person will not go unpunished, but the descendants of RIGHTEOUS people will escape.
23The desire of RIGHTEOUS people ends only in good, but the hope of wicked people ends only in fury.

3A person cannot stand firm on a foundation of wickedness, and the roots of RIGHTEOUS people cannot be moved.
5The thoughts of RIGHTEOUS people are fair. The advice of wicked people is treacherous.
7Overthrow wicked people, and they are no more, but the families of RIGHTEOUS people continue to stand.
10A RIGHTEOUS person cares even about the life of his animals, but the compassion of wicked people is nothing but cruelty.
12A wicked person delights in setting a trap for other evil people, but the roots of RIGHTEOUS people produce fruit.
13An evil person is trapped by his own sinful talk, but a RIGHTEOUS person escapes from trouble.

15You wicked one, do not lie in ambush at the home of a RIGHTEOUS person. Do not rob his house. 16A RIGHTEOUS person may fall seven times, but he gets up again. However, in a disaster wicked people fall.
26Like a muddied spring and a polluted well, so is a RIGHTEOUS person who gives in to a wicked person.
1A wicked person flees when no one is chasing him, but RIGHTEOUS people are as bold as lions.
12When RIGHTEOUS people triumph, there is great glory, but when wicked people rise, people hide themselves.

2When RIGHTEOUS people increase, the people of God rejoice, but when a wicked person rules, everybody groans.
6To an evil person sin is bait in a trap, but a RIGHTEOUS person runs away from it and is glad.
7A RIGHTEOUS person knows the just cause of the poor. A wicked person does not understand this.
16When wicked people increase, crime increases, but RIGHTEOUS people will witness their downfall.
27An unjust person is disgusting to RIGHTEOUS people. A decent person is disgusting to wicked people.
17I thought to myself, "God will judge RIGHTEOUS people as well as wicked people, because there is a specific time for every activity and every work that is done."
15I have seen it all in my pointless life: RIGHTEOUS people die in spite of being RIGHTEOUS. Wicked people go on living in spite of being wicked.
20Certainly, there is no one so RIGHTEOUS on earth that he always does what is good and never sins.
14There is something being done on earth that is pointless. RIGHTEOUS people suffer for what the wicked do, and wicked people get what the RIGHTEOUS deserve. I say that even this is pointless.
1Now, I have carefully thought about all this, and I explain it in this way: RIGHTEOUS people and wise people, along with their accomplishments, are in God's hands. No one knows whether there will be love or hatred. 2Everything turns out the same way for everyone. All people will share the same destiny, whether they are RIGHTEOUS, wicked, or good, clean or unclean, whether they offer sacrifices or don't offer sacrifices. Good people are treated like sinners. People who take oaths are treated like those who are afraid to take oaths.
26I will give you judges like you had long ago, advisers like you had in the beginning. After that you will be called the RIGHTEOUS City, the Faithful Town."

23who declare the guilty innocent for a bribe, who take away the rights of RIGHTEOUS people.
16From the ends of the earth we hear songs of praise that honor the RIGHTEOUS One. But I kept saying, "I'm wasting away! I'm wasting away! How horrible it is for me! Traitors continue to betray, and their treachery grows worse and worse."
2Open the gates, and let the RIGHTEOUS nation come in, the nation that remains faithful.
7The path of the RIGHTEOUS is level. O Upright One, you make the road of the RIGHTEOUS smooth.
13I prepared Cyrus for my RIGHTEOUS purpose. I will make all his roads straight. He will build my city and let my exiles go free without any payment or any reward, says the LORD of Armies.
21Speak and present your case. Yes, let them consult one another. Who revealed this in the distant past and predicted it long ago? Wasn't it I, the LORD? There is no other God except me. There is no other RIGHTEOUS God and Savior besides me.
23I have bound myself with an oath. A word has gone out from my RIGHTEOUS mouth that will not be recalled, "Every knee will bow to me and every tongue will swear allegiance."
25All the descendants of Israel will be declared RIGHTEOUS, and they will praise the LORD.
12Listen to me, you stubborn people who are far from being RIGHTEOUS.
11He will see and be satisfied because of his suffering. My RIGHTEOUS servant will acquit many people because of what he has learned through suffering. He will carry their sins as a burden.
1RIGHTEOUS people die, and no one cares. Loyal people are taken away, and no one understands. RIGHTEOUS people are spared when evil comes.
12I'll tell you about your RIGHTEOUS ways and what you have done, but they won't help you.
21Then all your people will be RIGHTEOUS, and they will possess the land permanently. They will be the seedling I have planted, the honored work of my hands.
6We've all become unclean, and all our RIGHTEOUS acts are like permanently stained rags. All of us shrivel like leaves, and our sins carry us away like the wind.
12But the LORD of Armies examines the RIGHTEOUS. He sees their motives and thoughts. I want to see you take revenge on them, because I've brought my case to you.
5"The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will grow a RIGHTEOUS branch for David. He will be a king who will rule wisely. He will do what is fair and right in the land.
15In those days and at that time, I will cause a RIGHTEOUS branch to spring up for David. He will do what is fair and right in the land.
13They got through because of the sins of Jerusalem's prophets and the crimes of its priests, who spilled the blood of RIGHTEOUS people within it.
20If RIGHTEOUS people turn from living the right way and do wrong, I will make them stumble, and they will die. If you don't warn them, they will die because of their sin, and the right things they did will not be remembered. I will hold you responsible for their deaths. 21But if you warn RIGHTEOUS people not to sin, and they don't sin, they will certainly live because they listened to the warning. You will save yourself."
22You have discouraged RIGHTEOUS people with your lies, even though I hadn't brought them any grief. You encouraged wicked people not to turn from their wicked ways to save their lives.
5"Suppose a RIGHTEOUS person does what is fair and right.
9He lives by my rules and obeys my laws faithfully. This person is RIGHTEOUS. He will certainly live," declares the Almighty LORD.
20The person who sins will die. A son will not be punished for his father's sins, and a father will not be punished for his son's sins. The RIGHTEOUSNESS of the RIGHTEOUS person will be his own, and the wickedness of the wicked person will be his own.
24"But suppose a RIGHTEOUS person turns away from doing right and he does evil things. He does all the disgusting things that the wicked person did. Will he live? All the right things that he has done will not be remembered because of his unfaithfulness and because of his sin. He will die because of them.
26When a RIGHTEOUS person turns away from doing right and does evil things, he will die. He will die because of the evil things he has done.
3Tell the land of Israel, 'This is what the LORD says: I am against you. I will take my sword out of its scabbard and kill the RIGHTEOUS people and the wicked people among you. 4I'm going to kill the RIGHTEOUS people and the wicked people among you. That is why my sword will come out of its scabbard to be used against everyone from the south to the north.
45RIGHTEOUS people will punish these women for adultery and for murder, because these women have committed adultery and their hands are covered with blood.
12"Son of man, say to your people, 'The right things that a RIGHTEOUS person has done will not save him when he rebels. The wicked things that a wicked person has done will not make him stumble when he turns from his wickedness. The RIGHTEOUS person will not live when he sins.' 13I may promise the RIGHTEOUS person that he will certainly live. But if he trusts in the right things that he has done and he does evil, none of the right things that he has done will be remembered. He will die because of the evil things he has done.
18If the RIGHTEOUS person turns from the right things that he has done and does evil, he will die because of it.
7You, Lord, are RIGHTEOUS. But we--the men of Judah, the citizens of Jerusalem, and all the Israelites whom you scattered in countries near and far--are still ashamed because we have been unfaithful to you.
14So you were prepared to bring this disaster on us. LORD our God, you are RIGHTEOUS in everything you do. But we never listened to you.
16Lord, since you are very RIGHTEOUS, turn your anger and fury away from your city, Jerusalem, your holy mountain. Jerusalem and your people are insulted by everyone around us because of our sins and the wicked things our ancestors did.
18Open your ears and listen, my God. Open your eyes and look at our ruins and at the city called by your name. We are not requesting this from you because we are RIGHTEOUS, but because you are very compassionate.
9Wise people will understand these things. A person with insight will recognize them. The LORD's ways are right. RIGHTEOUS people live by them. Rebellious people stumble over them.
6This is what the LORD says: Because Israel has committed three crimes, and now a fourth crime, I will not change my plans. The people of Israel sell the RIGHTEOUS for money and the needy for a pair of sandals.
12I know that your crimes are numerous and your sins are many. You oppress the RIGHTEOUS by taking bribes. You deny the needy access to the courts.
12Do horses run on rocks? Does a farmer plow the sea with oxen? Yet, you have turned justice into something deadly and what is RIGHTEOUS into poison.
4That is why your teaching is numbed, and justice is never carried out. Wicked people surround RIGHTEOUS people so that when justice is carried out, it's perverted.
13Your eyes are too pure to look at evil. You can't watch wickedness. Why do you keep watching treacherous people? Why are you silent when wicked people swallow those who are more RIGHTEOUS than they are?
4"Look at the proud person. He is not right in himself. But the RIGHTEOUS person will live because of his faithfulness.
5The RIGHTEOUS LORD is in that city. He does no wrong. He brings his judgment to light every morning. He does not fail. But those who are perverted are shameless.
9Rejoice with all your heart, people of Zion! Shout in triumph, people of Jerusalem! Look! Your King is coming to you: He is RIGHTEOUS and victorious. He is humble and rides on a donkey, on a colt, a young pack animal.
18Then you will again see the difference between RIGHTEOUS people and wicked people, between the one who serves God and the one who doesn't serve him.
41The person who welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet's reward. The person who welcomes a RIGHTEOUS person as a RIGHTEOUS person will receive a RIGHTEOUS person's reward.
35As a result, you will be held accountable for all the innocent blood of those murdered on earth, from the murder of RIGHTEOUS Abel to that of Zechariah, son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
25RIGHTEOUS Father, the world didn't know you. Yet, I knew you, and these disciples have known that you sent me.
2 Corinthians 9:9
9Scripture says, "The RIGHTEOUS person gives freely to the poor. His RIGHTEOUSNESS continues forever."
24You were also taught to become a new person created to be like God, truly RIGHTEOUS and holy.
